Industrial Designers
The essence of a product, the story a brand carries, its identity and direction, and the needs of the people who consume it—by identifying these challenges one by one and solving them through a design-driven mindset, we can transform people’s needs into new desires, or “wants.” This process of problem-solving, in my view, is what design truly is. For a product to satisfy brand identity, reasonable manufacturing costs, and emotional quality, designers must be involved in every stage—from planning and designing to production and delivery to the customer. Moving beyond the binary perspective of product design versus visual design, we need design solutions at every touchpoint where interactions between the brand and customers occur, whether visual, tactile, olfactory, auditory, or even in service.
